Miyoko Hogeveen plans to pursue a career in teaching and intends to stay connected to the game through coaching after her playing days are done.
Outside of hockey, Miyoko stays active year-round through running, snowboarding, hiking, and camping, and also follows football as a fan.
Miyoko Hogeveen plays under Jason Ward, head coach of the Brampton Canadettes U22AA in the OWHL, and trains with Adam Poole for both defence-specific development and strength and conditioning throughout the year.
